It was a joint effort. Two photographers, 2 friends, one crazy idea. Let’s plan a styled shoot in Utah. So we did.
My best friend Brooke Bakken lives in Utah and has teased me for ever with these gorgeous posts of hers with rolling mountains covered in green and snow caps all at once. I went to visit her for this first time this past spring and begged her to put together a shoot so I too, could leave with my own gorgeous images of this state she calls “Home.”

After stalking Pinterest, we nailed down colors, a theme and overall style. Thanks to Brooke’s amazing connections we teamed up with an amazing MUA, florist, rental company, dress designer and of course, the cutest couple around.

This shoot was a whim. It was purely a fantasy of mine that Brooke MASSIVELY fulfilled for me. In exchange, the next time she gets out here to Cape May, I know she is DYING too shoot all those lovely ocean blues/sea glass tones and I boy-oh-boy I promise to deliver.
For my east coasters dreaming of shooting in UTAH, do it. Don’t wait. ITS MAGICAL.
