Its another manic family Monday today on the blog. In addition to my main and BURNING passion for all things wedding photography, I also had this insane soft spot for families. In the beginning of my career as a photographer, families is where I first created a name for myself. I quickly learned that it was LESS about getting the perfect shot where everyone is looking and smiling in their searsuckers and white crisp polos….and its everything to do with JUST CAPTURING A FAMILY IN THEIR PUREST FORM.

No family on the planet is perfect….but every family on the planet is PERFECT in their own way. Being able to capture kids being kids, mommies and daddies holding it together by a string….and then the pure laughter that erupts from the chaos of it all….THAT IS why I love my “job” and that is why family photography will always remain as a part of my heart! : )

The Mitchell family is a very special family and very near and dear to my heart. They are a very loyal, strong and giving family that ALWAYS puts others first and I am so happy to call them my friends. Plus, I think my son has declared their daughter his first girlfriend….EEEEEEK….and so it begins…LORD HELP ME! : P
