When Michael contacted me about his surprise proposal, I could hear the elation in his voice. He had it all planned. A stop at Wildwood’s famous Sam’s Pizza for a pie, a walk down to the beach, a picnic and BOOM…popping the question to his sweetheart! Mother Nature the day of the proposal had other plans for us as it was terribly windy with scattered thunderstorms. None the less, Michael had an amazing plan B.

We met inside the main dining of Sam’s and the staff really went above and beyond to make it special. We got a table in their own section and MARRY ME was written in black sharpie inside the pizza box. Sarah and Michael took their seat, ordered as usual, and I hid off to the side READY TO POUNCE with my camera the moment she opened and read the box. It went perfectly!!! Sarah read the box and instantly burst into tears. She was so surprised and Michael took a knee with quite the sparkler beside her. The restaurant exploded in cheers and well wishes. And just like that, they were engaged.

We finished up lunch, she called her family and friends and we headed out to the boards to snap a few pictures of the newly engaged couple. Despite the weather, it was still a wonderful day filled with surprises, tears, laugher and more happy smiles than we knew what to do with. Congrats love birds! I hope to hear from you soon once you set a date!! Thank you Sam’s Pizza for being so accommodating and so amazing to this happy couple!
