Her name is Sabrina. I met her on the benches of the cold gymnasium, year 2000. We were both newly 14 and starting our very first day of high school. I had NO idea that after gym class that morning…I would have met my life-long true blue, best friend in the whole world. (Well, next to you girls Jana and Meg if you are out there reading this…but shhh this ones about Brina for today!)

She is everything I am not. She is my better half. My voice of reason. She ground me. Supports me to a fault. Loves me. Challenges me. Inspires me. She is my best friend and I don’t know what I ever did to deserve her in my life. 

Throughout high school, we were inseperable. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Our mothers on the other hand…may beg to differ. College happened, things got harder…but not impossible. We were still the best of buds. Marriage and kids happened…at least for me…a little early. But she was there for it all.

Now, with a man of her own….starting a new life together…we are all grown up and after this session, that fact hit me harder than ever. When did we go from 14, gym clothes and school books to playing house, paying bills and living further away from each other than the 10 mile radius we grew up in!?!??! Time has beat us all.

But time, though it may be passing us by, our memories together as friends never will. I was so excited to be able to take my best girl out for some well deserved images with her man Justin and capture the beauty and love I have seen in her for over a decade now. Justin, you are a lucky lucky man to hold her heart. Please dont break it….or I will break you! (Can you at least pretend you were a little scared for me Jus?) Ok great!

I love you both and I am so ready for the next chapter. Trading in gym shorts, for wedding dresses, Swirl Margs, and grown up tears and laughter! Enjoy your images! MWAH!
