He waved his little hand with the remnants of tears in his eyes. His other hand held tight to his matchbox car and I turned to leave with a forced smile as to not appear weak as I passes the other parents. My 3 year old is off at school and I am left with my coffee and the morning news for the first time in 3 years.
Nick is truly my mama’s boy. But man-o-man does this kid think he is 30! He walks like a grown man. Talks like a grown man that is entirely too strung out. And all around acts like he is the coolest thing and could never be bothered by anyones stupidity! hahaha
Though he is my cuddle bear…compared to my little one that would rather I NEVER touch him…he loves his freedom, friends and independence. Most of all…he love his school/teachers. Last year Nick went 1-2 days a week just to get his feet wet with social interaction…this year he is full-time pre-schooler and couldn’t be more thrilled.
Me however…nervous reck all over again…but happy to still be at home…running this amazing business of mine…and spending my alone time with my little one, Ryan. Who knows…by the end of thsi year…Nick will be able to write his name, recite his colors and shapes…and Ryan may even let me hug him! We can all have goals and dreams right?!!? lol
Well…here is a sneak peak of our September fourth morning. Enjoy : )
Big boy on the front step smiling or shall I say CHEEESIN before we start our walk down the block to school (yes, we are only a block away…its amazing!)
What an entourage! Ryan and daddy walking along as Mommy plays photog yet again. (His toy cars never left his hands)
Isnt his school adorable!?!? ugh love!
Well, not the most attractive pics…but I asked hubby to include me in at least a few memories with my kids. Us photog moms never get to be in pics do we!?!?
I was so excited to watch circle time starting and showing Ryan all the fun he gets to have very very soon.
But Nicholas baby…I love you and I hope you have an amazing school year!
Love, Mommy
