Its not about me. Work. Weddings. Or photography. Its about family. Life. Struggles, obstacles and challenges. Its about being a parent…and a parent first. Its about the fears that come along with that….the fear of letting a person that is a part of your heart and soul walk around in a less than fair and kind world at times. Its all life. And it can be scary.

Today my little one, whom has unfortunately inherited his mom and dads poor dental genetics, goes into his first surgery. For 90 minutes, my 45 inches/ 33 pounds 5 year old will be in a gown, in the O.R. without me there. Under good hands I am assured, I will be pacing in the waiting room. Apparently the bones in his gums are severely infected amongst a bunch of other words I could only hope to spell correctly one day.

I know in the grande scheme of the many surgeries…many much more serious than this….it seems like nothing. But to me, its everything. Today I am taking the day off to do the one “job” that God gifted me with…the one “job” that above all else, I know I was meant to do: Be a mommy to my little one. I am asking for your prayers and speedy recovery for my little Nicholas.

I thank ALL of you that are waiting for your images and emails to be returned. As part of the KNP Family, I’d like to give you a big virtual hug and a sincere ‘Thank you’ for your patience, love and understanding. I will be back in on Friday to tie up some loose ends before this weekends wedding.
