Planning! Its USUALLY a brides favorite part of the whole “wedding experience/process”. It is a time where you get to pick colors, decorations, details, themes, etc. This time around, now that I have an actual say, hahaha, I have really gotten carried away with it. I found that I was buying anything and everything I thought was cute from Etsy.com or stuff to make a “Pinterest” Image come to life. And though some may work, I feel like I am quickly approaching the “cluttered” look as opposed to a strategically planned look. I was over buying…over spending, and my little “vow renewal party” was taking on a life of its own. That is of course…until I heard about “Recycle Your Wedding” on Ruffledblog.com.
There went about 2 weeks of my life! No but seriously…it was just as fun as thrift-storing/yard-saling, BUT ONLINE! From the comfort of my couch. No pressure to buy. Everything that is being sold was from a bride/groom that just celebrated their weddings and can no longer find a purpose for their wedding day purchases. From dresses, to veils, shoes, jewelry, pieces of lace/tule, centerpieces and WAY more.
I am certainly NOT a first time bride and do not have quite the budget that 1st time brides might have, but with the ability to pick and choose from what I know I need for my day WITHOUT breaking the bank…and knowing there is somewhere I can turn around and resell it again…its just such a great idea.
From this site I purchased a never been word pair of sparkly rose gold sequin flats, mason jar mugs to give as favors and drinking glasses to my guests, tulle and burlap for tables and decor….its just been fabulous. You can even search for what you are looking for OR post up what you are in need of!
Below is an example of what to do once you found something that you are interested in purchasing. Simply click right on it, hit “contact the seller”, type what you are interested in purchasing and an email will be sent to the email you provide. Sellers are also really quick with replies and transactions are done via pay pal so everything is safe and secure. (There are even options for pick up vs. shipping)
I so hope that other brides out there can find use of this site to either purchase what they need….post up what they are looking for…or better yet…make some money back by selling what you no longer need.
This has been my favorite (ok my deep obsession) for the past 6 weeks and I think once you check it out…it will be JUST as amazing for you!
Happy Selling/purchasing! : ) See you back here NEXT Friday as I spill some more details pertaining to the #knpvowrenewal.
xoxo, Kaitlin
