We are getting close folks. I know…3 months doesn’t seem like CLOSE…but in Wedding World…it is RIGHT around the corner!

Yesterday evening my husband had a boys night out and that left me home to work and get the kids off to bed. Once they fell asleep, I found myself staring at the black and pink garment bag hanging just one room over. It was literally calling my name….”Kaiiiiitttlinnn….TRY ME ON!” So with one hop up and a few girly moment skips, I grabbed the bag and headed for the full length mirror in my master. I ripped the zipper open and tried on my dress. It was just as lovely as I remember (but maybe no more donuts until AFTER July…lol) but even in the most gorgeous dress….the “look” falls short without hair and make up. 

I looked up at my make-upless face and me  mom hair bun atop my head and let out a sigh. ‘If only I had my hair and make up done…this would be ah-mazing.” I turned on some Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson and a few others that will remain nameless…and it was off to the make up mirror and curling wand. All I was missing was a circle of girls around me squirting whip cream into my mouth and beating me with a feather pillow. Nonetheless, I had a great time TRYING to replicate hair and make up styles I am dreaming about after seeing them on Pinterest.

THANK GOODNESS I hired an AH-MAZING hair and make up girl to come and make me my most gorgeous the day of…so anything I did last night was just child’s play. Her name is Mia from creationsbymia.com and if you are a bride of mine…you have either used her yourself or you have heard me sing her praises! : P

But I am excited to LOOK my best, FEEL my best, and hopefully see my husband smile his shy little smile he gets when he thinks I look TOO pretty…usually followed by  “How did I get so lucky…guys like me don’t get girls like you.” Though its wildly false…THIS GIRL looooooves when he says that! : P

Simple and sweet hair and make up…with bigger/bold eyes with a touch of gold metallic and sparkles on the lid. (P.S. Would you believe that my husband always LOVES when I wear glitter on my eyes…I think that is so cute! : P )

Also, update on the bridal getting ready gown I spoke of last week….though very pretty…she is so going back. HOLY SEE THROUGH…I mean, a little opaque is fine…this was OUT of control…heheheeh….so I opted for a blush pink silk robe from Victoria Secret instead….It is so comfy that I may not even wait until the “big day” to break it in.
