Another personal post! I know this week has been a LOT about whats going on behind the scenes of the other part of my life (being a mother), but I promise next week will be PICTURES AND WEDDING OVERLOAD! I hope you are excited…I sure am!
Orders and shipments are slowly rolling in. The Fed Ex, UPS and USPS men have become close friends of mine over the past 3 months…but now I am seeing them daily. They are always so pleasant, see my boys and play them for a moment, its all so great to watch.
I get the ever anticipated eye brow lift from my husband as his chest rises and falls a little heavier than a moment before. “Anooooother package?!!?!? What did you order woman!?!?!?” Oh if he only knew. In his mind, we need cups for the wine, cozies for the beer, and plates for the food. Done! Oh to be in a mans mind for 1 part of the day. It seems so simple and relaxing and EASY!
Since we last updated you, we have really been really busy nailing down the layout of the room. Since we aren’t having a guest seating chart….which usually serves to be the most stressful part of a wedding, this layout has been extremely difficult.
Here is a view of the empty room we are tasked with decorating. (This was taken when it was still under construction. Looks like I may need to offer to take some better indoor photos for them : P)
We also were in search of linens and overlays that complimented the venue/theme without being TOO burlap-y. Don’t get me wrong…I LOOOVE me some burlap, but I was going for more ivory, lace, touch of pink and golds/sparkles. So rustic glam meets country shabby chique.
One of my most favorite parts of planning was finally picking out the suite I will be getting ready in. It is better known as the Indigo Suite at the Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor, NJ. It overlooks a bay PACKED with boats ported at each doc. With huge bay windows and a spacious living area, we will surely have the best morning dancing about the room and taking some gorgeous photos.
Here are some images of the room:
Next week I will be sharing some sneak peeks into my details….they are some good ones, so be sure to tune back in!!!
