PASS. By now, especially for those that follow me, for those that are my clients, or have inquired….you know all about PASS and why I adore it. If you do not know what PASS is….thats ok, here is a blog post I wrote a while back explaining it. Now, some things have changed since then, but the general idea is still the same! This blog post is geared towards those out there that are struggling to find the right words, the right way, to explain PASS to your clients once a gallery is delivered.

After MANY emails back and forth with clients, I finally decided that a template was the way to go. Not only does it save me time from typing it out each and every time I get a question about it, it allowed me the chance to sit down and really write out the benefits and overall greatness of PASS. I send this email to my brides and grooms AFTER the wedding so that they too, can pass it along to friends and family that need a bit more guidance in terms of PASS.

So here goes, this is what I send to my Brides and Grooms. I hope it helps : )

“Dear Bride + Groom,

What an amazing wedding! I sure hope you two are loving every day of married life so far! I am so grateful to have been a part of such a magical and priceless day. Everything was just beautiful and I can only hope you will love your images as much as I do.

So, without wasting another second, I am so thrilled to report, ALL of your wedding images are DONE and ready to be viewed, downloaded, shared, and printed all within your very own PASS Gallery. Keep an eye out for your wedding blog post coming your way soon!!!

To access your wedding images, please follow this link  (INSERT LINK) to access your PASS gallery. Once PASS opens, it will prompt you to create an account or sign in through Facebook. You can choose either. Have no fear, if you choose Facebook, it will NOT post to Facebook what images you are downloading and such. It will ONLY share to Facebook if you CHOOSE to share to Facebook.  If you choose to use your email to login, use this email address (youremail@youremail.com) and create the password of your choice. Thats it! Easy right!?

Once you are logged into your PASS Gallery account, the gallery will load a Pinterest style collage board of your images. The initial images you will see are under the category ” Photog Faves”. This is a gallery curated to reflect my favorites from the day including images from your Same Day Slideshow. To see ALL of your images and NOT just my favorites, kindly click on the 3 horizontal bars in the upper left hand corner. This is the tab that will load your main menu on the left hand side of your screen where you will be able to view all your folders, “download all” to save all your images to your own devices, locate your OWN favorites folder, and more.  Every part of your wedding day can be found by clicking open the main menu.  (The tab with three lines on it….please see image above!)

Please note, that if you share the PASS Gallery link with the public, everyone will be able to access your folders/download your images. If you would like to add a PASSWORD or lock certain folders, kindly let me know before sharing with the public and I will make those adjustments for you.

Lastly, here is some more information about PASS you may want to know:

1. You can view your photos from PASS on any computer, mobile device with or WITHOUT the internet. Just be sure to download the PASS GALLERY APP.

2. You are able to download all of the images to any computer, iPAD, or smart phone. If you plan to print them however, please make sure you are downloading them to a computer FIRST, as printing from a phone or iPAD could jeopardize your images quality.

3. PLEASE download all of your images to at LEAST 3 different devices. USBs, cds, hard drives. You will have 1 year to download them to as many locations as possible to protect and back them up for safe keeping. If you forget, at the end of one year you will have the option to RENEW your Gallery within PASS for an additional fee. If you do NOT choose to do so, have no fear, your images will be safe in the “cloud” for up to 10 years. In order to access them however, the renewal fee will need to be paid.

4. I ENCOURAGE you to share your images DIRECTLY to Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest all within PASS. Simply click on an image to enlarge it, and on the right hand side, look for an icon menu featuring the social media icons to share your images right through PASS. By sharing right through PASS, you are ensuring that you are sharing your images at their highest quality and sharing them with the proper photo credit to keep all parties safe.

If you have ANY comments, questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask. I hope you love your images as much as I do and promise that you will always stay in touch and continue to allow me to be a witness to your beautiful love story.

xoxo, Kaitlin Noel”

Now, this is just the template that I use, but feel free to MAKE IT YOU…Please do not just copy and paste exactly what I wrote, especially if that is not how you handle your clients/run your business. I write like I speak, so it fits my business model perfectly. Just remember, in regards to our clients…education is the best tool. Educating them from the beginning how we shoot, how we handle wedding days, image delivery…its all part of their experience with you. Make sure you are as professional and personable as you are in the beginning, all the way through the end.

Cheers!

🙂 Wonderful! Thanks for sharing.. just a side note. “horizontal” is spelled incorrectly. 🙂 Just thought I’d share in case any one else decides to use your generous offer!

  2. I use a template when delivering PASS galleries, too! Haven’t thought of adding in images to help with visuals but that’s such a great idea!

Thank you for sharing your process! 🙂
