Happy Fourth of July!
As a young girl, this day used to mark “summer is half over” in my mind. Technically that is not true, but with school starting at the end of August for us “catholic school” gals…it was! Growing up I spend the Fourth around family in friends in a very star spangly outfit. Dressed in head to toe red, white and blue….I decorated by bike accordingly and road it in our community parade. It was the COOLEST day of the year. We rode behind the mayor in his fancy Thunderbird and as he waved, we honked our horns.
Now today, with Hurricane Arthur ripping through the shores, we have been sentenced inside. So here I am….dressed in my spangly outfit, ready to CRANK OUT my final MAY wedding. If you can remember during the month of May, we shot 10 weddings…then in June 3 more back to back…then 6 engagement sessions and 2 coaching sessions since that….so our editing plate has been full to say the least.
But today, I will be wrapping up my final MAY wedding which took place on the 25th. This means that within 6 weeks ALL 10 weddings, 6 engagements and 1 of the coaching sessions have been returned. That is a HUGE success for this full time mama of 2 professional wedding photographer. So by 7pm, when these skies clear…I am going to claim one of those sparkly fireworks as one for me and for the accomplishments made, one step at a time. So Colleen and Weston…thank you for your patience. Weston, thank you for your service. AND GOD BLESS AMERICA. To the editing chamber I go!
Here is a sneak peak of their wedding to come:
