As many of you are well aware, I just returned from shooting a BEAUTIFUL wedding in Jamaica and then 2 days later, as in this past Saturday, I had another gorgeous wedding at the Carriage House in Galloway, NJ. Now in between all that…I have had emails, unpacking, editing, shooting, consults, oh…and being a mommy! PHEW!
Needless to say, though I wish I was, I am not ALLLLWAYS wonder woman. So this week…as I am busier than a one armed wall paper hanger…I thought…what better time than now to start having a Guest Blogger!!! For those of you that don’t know what that is…its basically me asking some talented photographer friends of mine to write a post about something really cool or important for all y’all to read.
So, without further ado, I would love to present the talented Ms. Corkill from Two Photography to guest blog on the amazingness of SHOWIT for

” Hey there KNP fans and readers, my name is Frances Corkill and I have the honor of speaking with you all today about the amazingness of SHOWIT. So, lets get started!
If you don’t SHOWIT, you are missing out! You are probably wondering what it is all about, right? Well, great question!
Showit is SIMPLE! It is an INCREDIBLE company that allows photographers, graphic designers, artists, creatives and anyone else that could use a functional website at their fingertips, to be UNIQUE, UNITED and FREE. No one wants to feel hostage or trapped to their website design. It’s a blank canvas for you to be FREE to “paint” your UNIQUE design and not be tied to a template. Showit allows you to do it ALL yourself or have a designer create it for you, which by the way, some A-MAAAAAAZING designer talent in the Showit world. ”

Showit comes with sooo many perks it’s hard to list them all, but the biggest one that is the most important, is the UNITED SHOWITEER community. What’s a Showiteer? I thought you’d never ask. A Showiteer is a hugger, a smiler, photographer, friend, leader, educator, secret santa and the list could go on and on. I am a part of this amazing community, that in the last year I have been incredibly blessed with in my business. I have learned so much from so many fantastic, talented photographers, who are fellow Showiteers, about how to be successful and use Showit to grow.
I started with Showit on January 28, 2012. I was really hesitant at first. I had just designed a site and spent a lot of time branding my company to try and stand out in the market. Google was a beast to fight trying to get found on the search engines. I was on the 100,000th page somewhere out there. I had no idea what I was doing and I was lost trying to figure out how to get found.
I was encouraged by many fellow Showiteers to at least give it a try. If I didn’t like it, the worst that could happen would be I go back to my old site. They were right and I never did go back. I launched my site and within three days I was on the 5th page of the Google search engines for my area, thanks to the AWESOME SEO keyword areas within the Showit design dashboard. Doing keyword research can really help your company appeal to the audience you want. I was moving up and quick! Showit has continued to bless me in many ways as it has brought me local and national recognition. My work will be displayed and shared on the Today Show on February 15th all thanks to the awesome way of being able to be UNIQUE, UNITED and FREE with Showit.

I met Kaitlin through Showit and thanks to them, I continue to make new friends, build solid foundations and constantly learn how to be better in what I do. Kaitlin was my Secret Santa for 2012 and we have been buddies ever since! I can’t wait to meet her and HUG her!! 🙂
