Destination weddings are my happy place. I love to travel. I live for it. So when I get to take my work, my heart, soul, passion and fuse them all together, it simply can not get any better. Wait I lied, you could add in tacos…..and that is just what Jaimie did. When she contacted me with the offer of a destination wedding in Maya, Mexico, I knew this was going to be something special. This hidden paradise was the perfect location for her dream destination wedding! From the moment we arrived on the property of the stunning resort we were captivated by its beauty and elegance. As a travel photographer, I had no shortage of gorgeous scenes to capture as part of their wedding photography package. From intimate moments on the beach during sunset golden hour to shots of the bridal party around the lush resort grounds and everything in between, the pictures turned out amazing! We even explored nearby cenotes, which provided a unique backdrop for some truly unique photos. In the end, my destination wedding dreams came true as I captured the beauty and special moments from this incredible day!
Jaimie and Matt planned an EPIC destination wedding in Riviera May, Mexico and of the many resorts we have shot at in Mexico, this one takes the cake. This all-inclusive venue is a dream. The staff, property, food, experiences, pools, beaches…its breathtaking. Their wedding was held ocean side and then their reception followed in an open-air patio right in the center the of property. Jaimie wore a gown that was MADE for her and Matt couldn’t keep his eyes (or hands) off his stunning bride. We were delighted to capture such beautiful moments between the two of them throughout their day with our travel photography – from walking along the beach during sunset to those romantic, intimate shots during their ceremony – our cameras were always rolling! With every turn at this resort in Maya, Mexico our team could hardly contain our excitement – it’s definitely not hard to take some epic resort photography here. We can hardly wait to come back again and capture more memories! Destination weddings will always remain close to our hearts, especially when they are as incredible as this one!
Destination weddings always being the noise and the FUN! I love the positive vacation vibe energy from the guest list and bridal party alike. We were blessed with being able to spend some extra time with these two and their closest friends and family and we were very sad to say goodbye. Jaimie and Matt are two people that are BETTER together. They just get each other on every level and when they are near each other, everyone is smiling. They planned a picture-perfect wedding day that was also filled with laughs, tequilla shots, tacos and soooooo many amazing memories. Here are a few of my favorites from their destination wedding day at the stunning UNICO 20°87° Hotel Riviera Maya. It truly was an incredible day for such an awesome couple. The resort provided the most perfect backdrop for their wedding photography. Every inch of this property is covered in lush greenery, bright colors and gorgeous views. From the beach ceremony under an arch of blooming floral bouquets to the vibrant reception tables surrounded by exotic palm trees and tall pillars – it was an absolute dream for me as a travel photographer to document it all! Even after sun down, the night sky put on an impressive display of stars that made for the perfect ending to an unforgettable destination wedding in Maya Mexico.
