It all started on May 3. Sure, I had a few weddings throughout March and April, but May. May is where MAYHEM began. I remember sitting down on a bar stool over a pint and some cheese fries with my husband last year saying….”man baby…May 2014 is going to be one for the books!” He looked at me confidently and said “Yeah, but if anyone can do it, its you.” I warned him that I would be M.I.A. every single weekend and the work weeks would look as though my lap top and hard drives were surgically implanted onto my hands. He said…. “Alrighty….we will make it work.”

Well May came. The first wedding was in Delaware. Followed by one in Cape May. Then another in Cape May and the  next day Central Jersey. Then the quad header was upon us. 4 weddings…BACK TO BACK. The first was in North Jersey (literally 5 min outside of NYC), the second, Delaware, then Central Jersey, and BACK to North Jersey. Last but certainly not least, we rounded off May with a quiet wedding in Cape May.  PHEW!!! It was amazing. Truly it was.

There were days I wasn’t sure I could make it. Days where I questioned my thought process when I thought 4 weddings in a row was “do able”. You know what, scratch that….I was fine…it was my feet, lower back and driving leg that were rebelling. Oh…also….my eye has a new twitch about it every time I raise my camera to my eye. Think its trying to tell me its allergic? Oh well. Suck it up eye! hehe

So, here were are, almost 2 weeks into June and I have already shot one last weekend and have a double header this upcoming weekend….and the “MAY” folder on my desktop keeps staring at me.

Edit me. Edit faster. Open me. I know you see me. Finish this wedding, start this one. AHHHHHH!

It seems daunting to think about….I have just under 30,000 images to edit for the month of May weddings alone. 30,000!  (Averaging about 3,000 per wedding- yes I know thats a lot!)

So, today, while I am getting everything organized, I figured I would show you what is yet to come and yet to be shown off….and a little sneak peek into my MAYHEM that I wouldn’t change for the world : )

Jenna and Zach….man I can’t wait to blog this wedding! I totally the brides father to adopt me! : )

 

The next day, none other the fabulous Marisa and Jeremy. Marisa even got me the same gift she got her bridesmaids because she said I was PART of her wedding…her crew. I think I still tear up thinking about that moment…not to mention I love that she gave me a sparkly pink flask! eheheh (SPOILER ALERT: Marisa and Jeremy…you get your wedding pictures back TODAY!)

Now….my quad header. First up, Sharon and Scott….you guys are on my UP NEXT list….so full editing starts tomorrow for your big day! Then from there…not long loves! : ) Your wedding was so so sweet and if I awarded a biggest fan award to any bride…lol, I think that might be you! : P

Then the gorg Steph and Chris….they made me feel like a guest before their photographer! Total trust in me and such a relaxed day!!!

Then my right hand girl Rebecca and her husband Michael. Rebecca is a crazy awesome DIY crafter and is actually helping me with the  #knpvowrenewal styling and set up! Love you girl!

Then to close out the QUAD HEADER…..we went out with style on Memorial Day weekend. Colleen and Weston…you just may have a feature in my upcoming bridal magazine…cough cough. I loved every stinking second of your day…and getting to hold a saber was pretty awesome too! : P THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE WESTON!

Then my last wedding of May…Sue and Pete….quiet, intimate, and actually held in the same exact ceremony location for MY first wedding with Michael. Overlooking the beach, salty air….perfect!

So yes…on top of editing all these weddings…plus Junes now…creating albums…I AM ALSO closing in on my vow renewal day. (aka….Kaitlin you are a silly pants for planning a vow renewal in the middle of wedding season lol) So…if you don’t always hear from me right away…if my Facebook looks like a gallery of images of 800 different weddings…there is a reason for that!

My second shooter….which he is so not…he is my equal…we have created our own hashtag for this wedding season and it is simply….

#WEOWNIT 

We own the craziness. The late nights. The long hours. The road trips, hotel stays, living out of suitcases for nearly a week. We own it all…and we wouldn’t change it for the world! Thank you to my family and friends that made this past month possible for me…for us. Without your love and support, none of this would have been possible. To my fans and clients…thank you for your love…trust…support and patience. Without you…I would be NOTHING. Thank you for letting me live out my dream!

So, now you know all that is yet to come JUST FOR MAY ALONE….hold on tight guys….HERE WE GO WITH #KNPWEDDINGMAYHEM! : P
