Though I do not get to shoot very many, intimate style weddings have completely captured my heart over the past few years. Don’t get me wrong…I love the 300+ person wedding….its usually one of the best parties I attend all year…..but the small, intimate weddings, they really remind me WHY we are all present: LOVE.

Anca and Chris have such a sweet love story, and it all began during a hurricane; hurricane Irene to be exact! Both alone…and Anca scared to be alone (who could blame her) Chris…her neighbor never left her side. They rode out the hurricane together….and the rest…well its history.

We started the day at The Candlelight Inn, the sweetest little B&B in North Wildwood. Anca had her dress made and sent from Romania, her home town, and all over her details were perfectly crafted around her “touch of blue” kind of theme. After the first look we headed over to one of their favorite spots for some formal portraits, Congress Hall in Cape May.

Re-creating an image that was featured on their invitations was a highlight of the day and every photo captured during our time there was just stunning. We found it SO FITTING that the day was quite the rainy/stormy one….considering they fell in love during a hurricane. Mother Nature is crafty that way, I guess : )

Lastly, a quiet and intimate gathering of friends and family and The Bellevue was the home of their ceremony and reception. Perfectly hand crafted vows in front of loved ones commenced and a meal was shared. It was a LOVELY day. Congrats Chris and Anca…your wedding day was filled with beauty and love. And Anca…you were a TRUE Romanian princess!

Anca looked like a Romanian Princess….it was only fitting to spend an extra few minutes capturing some stunning bridals of her!

Now, it was time for some STUNNING bride and groom portraits. I loved incorporating her gorgeous umbrella and staying clear of the scattered rain storms here at Congress Hall. 

After a lovely portrait session, it was time to get hitched, and celebrate with a very intimate group of family and friends. It was so lovely.
