I can not even begin to put into words what UNITED 2014 was like. I am sure if you type in UNITED in my blog search bar, endless posts from last year will pop up….only further exaggerating this point. There REALLY is NO GREAT place to start. I think that has a lot to do with there really was no START or finish to UNITED…it was more of a family reunion that we await each and every year. Despite what you may think or have heard, it is NOT just a conference; it is SO much more than that. Over 350 of some of the best photographers in the world gathered together to share their talents, gifts, knowledge and love. Strangers became family. Star struck moments of those we look up to the most in the industry were happening all around us. Some of the absolute great in the industry walked the halls and STOPPED you to say hello and chat. It was incredible to witness.
By no means am I a UNITED Veteran or a GREAT in this industry, but the difference in what UNITED was last year to what it was this year was beyond noticeable. The amount of photographers in attendance more than doubled. The amount of classes, shoots, and break out sessions at least tripled. So many were so willing to help out their peers so selflessly.
These UNITED blog posts of mine are sure to span over a week long…as there is SO MUCH I wish to share with you, but for this post, here are a few sneak peaks of all that is yet to come.
Later in the week, I will even be sharing what I taught in my class: The Art of Gift Giving. So, if you were unable to come…have no fear, I certainly have not forgotten about you and as always, I am here to help. So, enjoy these sneak peaks of some shoots I went on and hold on tight for a week of enlightenment and motivation.
