Traditions are not only actions, ideas and beliefs passed down generation to generation in our families; they are part of history of weddings!
Simply Bridal is always spot on with sharing some amazing facts, tips and tricks for todays bride.
“The idea of marriage is a cross-cultural idea, but each country, religion, and culture has different and special ways to celebrate the union between two lovers. Many traditions involve the consumption of libations, others fire (the eternal flame of love), food, and the breaking of glass/vase. SimplyBridal has collected a handful of traditions from different countries around the world to explore and share with the wedding community.”
During my wedding we have a simple and semi common tradition of a mother-daughter dance, Unity in the Sand, and the wearing of a baby bracelet pinned to the inside of our dresses. It was beautiful and I love knowing that these traditions will be passed on in my family for generations to come. I am always taken back by the beauty in others family/ritual traditions. Each religion, each tradition is somehow unique and beautiful and so truly fitting.
