It was unheard of. Katelyn said it herself. It was an unheard of thought, notion, or idea that a group of photographers…all in the same industry and after the same client, could be in one room…networking, learning from each other, and building friendships and establishing trust. Too good to be true probably rang in most of our minds at one point. But after an evening like this one…a coaching reunion….it was TRUE. We were all there, different levels of business, skill and trade to form a cohesive, loving and accepting circle. (I mean that in the least ‘culty’ way possible! : P )

Katelyn James gave us such an amazing and rare opportunity. She gave us the permission and freedom and assurance that what we were doing at her house, coming together like that, was 100% normal and beneficial to our careers and hearts.

With an amazing feast prepared, insanely devilish brownies with peanut butter and OREOS stuffed inside, teal cups, and the smell of fresh paint upon the walls, we were welcomed into Katelyn and Michaels gorgeous new home. There were tears…mostly on my part. Lots of hugs. MANNNNY laughs and smiles…and at least for me…I can count AT LEAST 3 girls that I want to have in my life for forever. Imagine…”competition” …girls after the same market as me….and we can all be supportive friends and trust one another to not LITERALLY stab us in the backs.

I am not sure any other group of photographers could ever have what us “coaching girls” have. Its an exclusive and special bond. Appreciation to our mentor, Katelyn, and love for each other….its a really amazing thing. I am so honored to be part of this group of amazing girls and to say that I was taught by one of the best out there! Thank you Kateyln!

This mini styled shoot you put together was great. It was great to practice posing, directional light, and how to make things POP in pictures. AS ALWAYS…AMAZING JOB! Thank you Lauryn for modeling and thank you girls for your love and support for the lone Jersey girl! : P
