Im moving to California!!! No…totally kidding. But hey, one can dream right!?!?

Today, over morning coffee, the Today show and the vibrating noise coming from the laundry machine that is one step away from going on strike….I sat down to create my goals list. My to-do list. My dreams list. Basically…there are a wholeeee lotta lists happening over here today.

Out of all of my “LISTS” that I so compulsively create, the dreams list is my favorite.

Its where for every realistic dream, you know, one that really could happen…..I write two seemingly IMPOSSIBLE dreams! For most people, they tend to do their lists the opposite way. They write down the things they know they can achieve. The simple joy they receive when crossing something off their list is all they could ever need. For me…I don’t want to live life by a laundry lists of to do’s; I want to live by a list of BIG dreams. The feeling I imagine I will have when they come true…now that will be an unbelievable feeling. Crossing things off a to-do list is a simple satisfaction. Like crossing off “apples” once they are added to my grocery cart. But right now on my dreams list, I have…

1. Get Katelyn James to do a guest blog post for me OR do a FAB Friday!

2. Book a NYC Central Park Engagement shoot.

3. Put together a huge styled shoot/ workshop for THIS summer!!!

Are all these dreams possible??? Sure they are. To some, these dreams may not even BE dreams. They may just be another ordinary day. Tasks that can easily be achieved. But thats my point.

Dreams are not defined by the value others give them. Dreams are defined by what they are worth to you!

No dream is too silly, small, big, pointless, or ordinary. Much like success, we set our own rules and our own expectations for our dreams in life. Everyone has their own idea of success….and everyone should have their OWN dreams.

I encourage everyone to create BIG dreams lists. Put aside the grocery lists, the chores lists, the “must return emails/phone calls/fax” lists that seem to RUN our lives. Take out a fun colored pen. Colored paper. Doodle the word “DREAMS” at the top…and get to listing.

Because I can promise you, when you cross of an accomplished dream, it wont be just another line through another task….it will be a personal accomplishment that will feed your heart and soul for the remainder of this very precious gift called LIFE!
