I promise by the the end of this month I will have posted all of my shoots from United. I know it may seem like I have been talking about it since I went in FEBRUARY! I still can’t believe that its already April?!?! Goodness!
If you have been following my blog, United is not a new thing for you. If you haven’t, it was pretty much the single most life altering photography conference/sleep away camp/ party of my life. I have mentioned before that my goal going into United was to experiement, dabble; try everything and anything if you will. I wanted to leave feeling more accomplished and trained and ready to take on any kind of session that I may be presented with. Though I may never be a photographer than specializes in shooting seniors, playing with light painting, or shooting glamour, I can easily say there are tips and tricks I learned in all of these classes that I can apply to what I DO specialize in: Engagements and Weddings! : )
I had some time in between classes on day out there, I joined in on a maternity group with my dear friend Carrie Swails. (Your remember her from FAB Friday, right?) It was so great to see different ways to pose very beautiful expectant mothers WITHOUT their husband/significant other. I have only had the opportunity to shoot a couple together and shooting an indivudal as opposed to a couple can often be a challenge. Though I couldn’t stay for the whole class and head down to the beach portion of the shoot, I was really excited to snap a few walking around The Four Seasons property….GORG! Plus…is there anything more beautiful than a preggo mama to be? NOPE! : P
Learning to give the photo more dimension by holding a flower up to your lens and focusing on your subject….it creates an image like below : )
IF THEY COULD BRING TREES LIKE THAT TO JERSEY, THAT WOULD BE GREAT! : P HOLY BEAUTIFUL!
Finding areas that offer backlight….adds depth to your image : )
Thank you to our UNITED teachers and ah-mazing mama to be!
xoxo,
Kaitlin Noel
