When I met these two, I knew their day was going to be a no fuss, laid back and fun wedding day. They were in love with the idea of something nautical, beach inspired and filled with the joys of salt air living. Icona at Diamond Beach was the perfect venue for them. Their ceremony took place at the end of a long sandy aisle that over looked the ocean. To the right, there was a tiki bar known as Bungalow #1 with gorgeous beach furniture, fire pits, string lights and even a steel drum player. A white tent was set up over their reception area and the stations were set for food and beverage service. The sun was shining and hearts were light.
We started the day as we always do….details and bridal prep. As we got ready with her closest friends and family, you immediately got a sense of how perfect the day would unfold. It was always LESS about the details and extra frills of a wedding day, and entirely about the union of two best friends…two hearts. After a short ceremony we snuck away for a few moments of photos and headed straight into the party. These dancing fools danced their hearts out until the sun finally sat behind the horizon. It was the perfect ending to the day and an even better beginning to a new life together. Here are a few of my favorites from their Nicole and Matts wedding day…
